Guests will be able to take the controls and be part of one of three different roles on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction.
This morning Bob Chapek, chair of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, released the official names of the two main attractions coming to the new Star Wars-themed land at Disneyland and Walt Disney World - Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This particular attraction is flight-focused, as guests get to pilot Han's famous ship.
The other ride will be called Rise of the Resistance.
What are you most looking forward to about Galaxy's Edge? Also, courtesy of Twitter user Ángel de Jorge (via Jedi News), here's a first peek at the concept art for Hondo Ohnaka from The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, who will be a character inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
Galaxy's Edge attractions, now under construction and scheduled to open next year, will host Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, which will put visitors at the controls of Han Solo's ship, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which will thrust guests into a galactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
But that's not all!
The park is now set to open in two phases over 2019: in the summer in Disneyland, and in the fall in Disney World. Let us know in the comments. Check out the images below. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at Disneyland next summer, and at Walt Disney World's Disney's Hollywood Studios the following fall.
