"On Tuesday, November 27th, thousands of Mississippians will vote for a Senator".

Mr. Trump held a festive, Christmas-themed rally for Hyde-Smith in Biloxi Monday night, and a rally earlier that day for her in Tupelo, 300 miles to the north. Cindy Hyde-Smith faces former Democratic congressman Mike Espy in a Senate race that has drawn attention to the state's history of racist violence. He was endorsed by former Vice President Joe Biden and three Democrats who are potential 2020 presidential candidates - former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Senators Kamala Harris of California and Cory Booker of New Jersey - travelled to MS to campaign for him.

"Please vote tomorrow", he said.

He was joined by Mississippi's Republican leadership of Gov. Phil Bryant and Sen. "This is all going to be turnout".

"This is a campaign that goes to the colour line and it reached across the colour line, across the chasm of racial division, across the chasm of racial acrimony", Espy said. The question is: "will hers?" Swennumson was always planning to vote for Espy, but felt more certain about her decision after Hyde-Smith's "public hanging" comment.

"She stood up to the Democrat smear machine", Trump said.

"I'm here to ask the people of MS to send Cindy Hyde-Smith back so we can make America great again", Mr. Trump said, after some praise for Tupelo's most famous son, Elvis Presley. "This election's about judges, jobs, borders, protecting opportunities for our children".

Hall: Hyde-Smith. She's had a rough three weeks - largely self-inflicted - but I think most of it turns out to be political flesh wounds.

In a television ad, Espy's campaign urged voters to reject a candidate it argues would give MS a bad image.

The sign also read: 'We need someone who respects the lives of lynch victims'.

"I came all the way from Boston to campaign for my friend, Mike Espy", Pressley said in the video, urging voters to turn out to the polls. "The Roy Moore case was exceptional and had all these continuing allegations of sexual impropriety".

Democrats are hoping to pull off an Alabama-style upset in the state after a series of missteps from Hyde-Smith.

Trump will be campaigning Monday for GOP Sen.

GULFPORT, MISS-Republicans in MS may not be in love with Cindy Hyde-Smith, who was appointed to the Senate earlier this year after longtime Sen.

The president said she has apologised and misspoke, adding that her comments were "taken a certain way but she certainly didn't mean it". "Mike Espy is the clear choice when it comes to showing the nation who MS really is".
