METAIRIE, La. - Dez Bryant said he'll leave it up to Sean Payton whether he plays on Sunday.

Dez Bryant is the newest member of the New Orleans Saints.

METAIRIE, La. - Just two days after Dez Bryant finally returned to the National Football League, it appears that his 2018 season is over.

Last season, Bryant hauled in 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Bryant's one-year contract with the Saints will play him $600,000 based on a pro-rated $1.25 million base salary for the rest of the season.

Bryant, who had been seeking a new team since the Cowboys released him in April, had just signed a one-year deal with the Saints Wednesday.

Thomas is also coming off being named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his sky-high play against the Rams, with plenty of action ahead of him. Although two teams offered Bryant a deal, he ended up declining both, the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns offers.

"I'm always gonna be me, you know, who I am". Payton said the wideout is expected to make a "full recovery". I've always been a good guy, you can ask my teammates.

Receiver Ted Ginn Jr. also is on injured reserve and can not come back until the final few weeks of the regular season, if he's ready by then.

Bryant said he had turned down other opportunities to work out this season, without offering any specifics. It's like family. Every locker room that I've been in from middle school, high school, college to the pros, it's always been like a family. I'm not a bad guy.

Bryant said he is "not at all" bitter about his departure from the Cowboys, adding, "That chapter's closed".
