After being unveiled last month alongside the iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple has finally made the iPhone XR available to preorder. US-WARP and ASP differ because ASP includes global results, and also reflects wholesale discounts and other promotional pricing that Apple may offer to carriers and other retailers.
Apple has posted an announcement outlining the expecting opening of preorders for the iPhone XR this Friday, Oct. 19, while also adding that the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be landing in over 30 new countries on the same day.
Recently, analyst with KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo has stated that the iPhone XR will be the top selling iPhone model of the year.
Vodafone is has allowed consumers to separate phone repayments from their selected plan, with the iPhone XR (64GB) available on an 36 month interest-free payment plan for $34.13 per month.
Pre-orders for the iPhone XR started shortly after midnight pacific time. All three come in six colors: white, black, blue, yellow, coral, and red.
In the imaging department, the iPhone XR offers a single 12MP f/1.8 camera at the rear. T-Mobile isn't included in the offer, but if you were planning to buy your iPhone XR with either AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, you should certainly consider Sam's Club offer.
The other colors are available for launch day delivery in the United States, but some areas have stores with a very low supply. This coincides with the iPhone XR and Apple Watch Series 4, too. Not only that, but the iPhone X uses OLED display technology, so the colors really pop compared to an LCD display, which comes with iPhone XR.
Not having this on the phone means you do miss the all-important 2x optical zoom functionality and this camera was a big part of Apple's new portrait mode.
