Here's what you need to know about the new Google Home Hub

Google Home Hub - Google Assistant With A Display

Google Home Hub is all about simplifying the smart home experience

"We consciously chose to not include a camera on Google Home Hub, so you feel comfortable placing it in the private spaces of your home, like the bedroom", Google said. I love this integration because today I have to tap my phone or ask Google to show my front door in order to see who's ringing my doorbell.

In the demo, Google compared a low-light photo from an iPhone XS with one from a Pixel 3, and as can be expected, the result was in Google's favor. An abandoned Pixel 3 XL pre-production model mistakenly left in a San Francisco Lyft already set the internet ablaze about a month ago. The users will no longer have to open the app of each device separately to control them. Essentially, Google is providing an aggregation of your smart home devices in a simple, pleasing arrangement so you can adjust the environment easily with a touch. It's the first time Google has embraced the format, which Apple adopted previous year with its iPhone X.

The Home Hub has been initially launched in the United States priced $149 and the announcement coincides with Google revealing an updated version of its Pixel handset.

Google's Smart Display works just like Amazon's Echo Show in providing users with the visual look at Google's search results for such things as calendar, weather and YouTube videos. However, contrary to Jeff Bezos' smart home device, the Home Hub doesn't come with a camera.

The idea here is that Google's camera uses AI and machine learning to screen out any photos where a subject might have their eyes closed or be making a weird face unintentionally, choosing "smiles instead of sneezes" and offers you the best photo automatically. Moreover, the 7-inch touchscreen shows is able to show basic information like the temperature, date, calendar and traffic updates.

This time around there are three different colours to choose from, there is the usual Just Black and Clearly White but a new colour called "Not Pink" which is pink but just a very toned down colour.

Google is expected to introduce two new smartphones Tuesday, part of its continuing push to embed its digital services and Android software more deeply into peoples' lives. For the security of personal data is a special chip Titan M. Operating system - Android 9 Pie. Some of the other features like Group Selfie require new hardware, like dual front cameras, and are exclusive to the Pixel 3. Although it has plenty of other partners, Google still feels compelled to release its own phones. It supports fast charging via USB Type-C. You can however sign up to get an email notification when it does. Check out the video below, then expect to see this on your Pixel 2 in November.

Unfortunately, you have to dig through the developer options.

The Chromecast is back and it's more powerful than ever.

Some small design changes have been made with new glossy colours. Like the last-gen Pixel phones, the new Pixel phones look great with plenty of new features.
