Cardi B gets assault summons but lawyer say she did no harm

The NYPD has released the following statement: 'Cardi B received a desk appearance for reckless assault, misdemeanor offensive, and she is released to the 109 Precinct.

She faces charges that include two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and one count of third-degree assault, according to Sergeant Brendan Ryan, a spokesman for the New York Police Department.

The 25-year-old star was in the Angels Strip Club in Queens on August 29, when someone in her group lobbed furniture inside the nightclub, causing an employee to suffer "some bruising to her legs", police said.

One of the bartenders involved told TMZ that Cardi B accused her of having an affair with her husband, rapper Offset.

An arraignment court date has been set for October 29. According to TMZ, Cardi saw the sisters there and told her posse to attack them with various objects, including chairs and bottles. "But it doesn't matter if her name is Cardi B or Carl B. if she commits violent assaults she will be brought to justice".

Jade previously claimed that five people close to Cardi attacked her by "grabbing her hair, punching her and hitting her with an ashtray"; a source close to the rapper however claims that the attack was not premediated and "was triggered after someone threw a drink".

The "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It" songstress gave birth to a daughter, Kulture, in July.

Cardi B and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj made headlines in September after the two got into a fight that was captured on video and shared on social media during a New York Fashion Week party, continuing an ongoing feud.

On Monday, she was filmed exiting the police station in Queens, dressed in a beige skirt suit and white blouse, escorted by burly bodyguards into a waiting SUV, making no comment to a bevvy of cameras.
