Another iPad Pro rumor says USB-C will replace Lightning this year

Apple pens date for expected Mac updates

Apple's October 30 Event: What to Expect

Apple could give release details for AirPower, a wireless charger for iPhones and Apple Watches announced a year ago, as well as second-generation AirPods headphones that work with it.

Apple has announced that it will be holding an event in Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday 30 October.

The iPhone maker revealed on Thursday that it will host a major event on October 30 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House. So, what else could Apple launch?

We'll have to wait and see what Apple has in store but it may not be the only new product revealed at the event. This particular image is likely of the case, with a render of the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro based on the CAD leak we saw earlier in the year. Additionally, Face ID and a new Apple Pencil are also expected changes. The new models are also expected to include faster processors and an Apple-designed graphics chip for the first time, but will lack the more vibrant OLED screens used in the iPhone X and iPhone XS. It will stick with an LCD panel, rather than OLED, and could come with a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port.

The MacBook Pro 2018 was released with a touch bar in July, but there are many other Mac devices that we are waiting for.

When it comes to entry-level laptops, the current MacBook Air in its current form has been in the market for an extended period of time. There's also the Mac mini, which has not been updated since 2014. It is still uncertain if the iPads are the only products Apple will unveil.
