It's clear which feature Samsung feels most strongly about in this newest addition to the A series: despite its other innovative new features, Samsung outlined the triple lens camera in depth when presenting the new model. Having a variety of differing lenses on your device can make it more suitable to an assortment of shooting conditions. Around the front is another 24Mp camera for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 has been announced by the Korean tech giant today, with other points of interest being a Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a 24MP selfie camera, Dolby Atmos sound and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Samsung gets on the triple camera bandwagon with the Galaxy A7. The display on the Galaxy A7 is possibly the best you can find on a mid-range smartphone.

The smartphone is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 out of the box with Samsung Experience on top. It also comes with Samsung's Scene Optimizer, to categorize the subject and adjust the color, contrast and brightness to optimize image quality.

The highlight of the device is the triple camera arrangement on the back.

The power button on the side has a fingerprint recognition sensor. This is the Galaxy A7 (2018), and it's destined for markets in Asia and Europe.

Samsung hasn't revealed the name of the processor yet, but the specifications say that it is an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2.2GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB. It charges via USB-C and you can replenish its battery quickly with Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charger.

Following in the photographic footsteps of the Huawei P20 Pro, the first phone to have this setup, the Samsung Galaxy A7 is being positioned as a phone for those who love to take pictures, complete with some bold claims. The Galaxy A7 comes in blue, black, gold and pink, and it will be available in select European and Asian markets this Fall.

"You will see devices coming from us in the mid-segment space with flagship features and functionalities that will delight our customers in India", he said on the sidelines of Samsung's premium Note 9 smartphone launch in Gurugram in August.

A source with knowledge of the company's plans told us at Revü that the device will be made available in the Philippines. It also comes with full-fledged Samsung Pay support.
