Browns vs. Steelers: Pittsburgh leads Cleveland 7-0 at the half

Cam Sutton Makes Game-Saving INT for Steelers

Le'Veon Bell reacted to the Steelers' Week 1 tie against the Browns with a single emoji

The Browns trailed 21-7 entering the fourth quarter before getting a one-yard touchdown run from Carlos Hyde to climb within one score. He not only got out of pressure with a brilliant scramble, but after that he bolted around the left side and bowled his way into the end zone with a flying leap.

The Browns remain winless since December 24, 2016, but at least they have a positive after going 0-16 last season, just the second team to lose all 16 games.

Browns rookie cornerback Denzel Ward intercepted Roethlisberger twice in his National Football League debut.

Conditions were garbage and Week 1 is always wonky, but the Steelers offense couldn't break free from the Browns. Ask DeCastro why they struggled so much slowing down Browns' defensive end Myles Garrett but don't ask him if things could be better if Bell had been there.

Save for the fumble - which came when Garrett expertly punched the ball loose - the play of Conner wasn't among them.

"You expect the ball to come at you every play", Sutton said. As a group, I feel like we're on the rise. "I threw my hand up at the last minute, and it hit my hand - tie game". The second-year Steeler appeared in five games as a rookie last season and made one start in 2017, totaling five tackles and a pass defended. "Nothing", said Jackson, who has turned play calling over to coordinator Todd Haley this season.

The Cleveland Browns managed to not lose on Sunday for the first time since December of 2016, but their tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers should have been a win. You take the turnovers, and the penalties that we had and our inability to do some things early offensively, those are huge keys to a tie game.

Browns undrafted rookie left tackle Desmond Harrison had a long day. They had a chance to win the game, but Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt blocked Zane Gonzalez's 43-yard field-goal attempt with 9 seconds left in overtime. Taylor finished 15 of 40 for 197 yards with a touchdown and two picks, one by Sean Davis and one by Cam Sutton, who replaced Haden.

The Steelers (0-0-1) outgained the Browns by 150 yards and received a breakout performance by running back James Conner, who had 192 combined yards.

The beleaguered Browns have two of those losses and now the tie. Conner scored twice, but also fumbled in the fourth quarter to give the Browns all the momentum they would need to start a stunning rally.
