The President's eldest son experienced the technical difficulties during the interview with Ingraham just a day after Trump admitted in a tweet that his son met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer back in 2016 to collect information about Hillary Clinton.
Trump had earlier claimed that the meeting was about the adoption of Russian children, reported Reuters, a statement contradicted by Trump Jr, who said that the goal was to gather information on Clinton.
"This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics - and it went nowhere", Trump tweeted.
"Yesterday - I don't know if you if you were following this over the weekend - he thumbed a doozy".
But Mr Trump still insisted he did not know about the meeting at Trump Tower between Donald Jr and Natalia Veselnitskaya, a lawyer with links to the Kremlin.
Trump's eldest son confirmed the meeting in June 2016, but claimed the lawyer provided no useful information and eventually turned the subject toward policies on Russian adoption that had been curtailed in response to USA sanctions.
The president appeared to change his story in a Sunday tweet in which for the first time he confirmed that the Trump Tower meeting was supposed to produce dirt on Clinton.
The Post had reported that the statement to The Times was dictated by the president, though at the time Trump's lawyers denied his involvement.
CNN reported last week that Mueller has offered to reduce the number of obstruction-related questions Trump would be asked by investigators.
Legal experts have often pointed to a possible violation of federal election laws, which ban taking anything of value - which could include information on a political opponent - from a foreign government trying to influence a US election.
Cohen has indicated that he would tell prosecutors that Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting ahead of time.
The report alleged Trump is increasingly anxious about his eldest son becoming ensnared in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation.
Abrams hinted that Trump's evolving story may be grounds for impeachment, citing a precedent set by Ken Starr during the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton in the 1990's. They described the statement, which had not mentioned that the Russian lawyer was expected to bring damaging information about Clinton, as "short but accurate".
It is common for U.S. politicians to research their opponents during a campaign.
Why is the Trump Tower meeting controversial?
What did Trump say?
In one tweet, he declared the media the "Enemy of the People" and accused outlets of sowing division and distrust.
"And I'm going to say now on the record, they will never find any because there isn't any", he said.
Sekulow also downplayed comments made by the president's other attorney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who recently said that collusion is not a crime, calling them "rather unremarkable".
Trump's attacks on the special counsel's investigation have been rebuffed by Republican leaders in Congress who have expressed support for Mueller. "They are very unsafe & sick!"
