The device carries the model name SM-T387, which sounds like a successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s T380 model number and suggests a refresh for 2018.
Samsung's upcoming Android tablet offering has always been anticipated since its predecessor was released February a year ago.
The Samsung Galaxy On6 features a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display that supports 18.5:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels. The front camera also doubles up as face unlock. Samsung Galaxy On6 will also come with the option for Flipkart's complete mobile protection plan at a price of Rs 49 only. There's no fingerprint scanner as you can only see the camera and a flash. The Samsung DeX Pad Desktop Experience Accessory looks unassuming enough, but it's actually the key to a smartphone experience like none other.
Galaxy On6 comes in blue and black colour options. On the rear, the device sports single rear camera which protrudes out of the body and also a LED flash. This is in addition to a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Samsung may launch its new Galaxy Tab S4 soon with the first use of the company's under-screen fingerprint reading technology and a new iris scanner. Previous devices used inductive styluses that didn't require an internal battery, basically using a form of wireless power.
It comes with Samsung's proprietary Exynos 7870 octa-core backed by 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (with expansion up to 256GB via microSD card), Android Oreo software and a 3,000mAh battery, which is sufficient to keep the phone running for a whole under mixed usage.
