Imran Khan is running to be next prime minister of Pakistan in July 25 elections.

The top contender for Pakistan's prime minister office, Imran Khan has said marriage to Reham Khan was biggest mistake of his life, talking in rather less glowing terms about his second wife.

In the four provinces and at the centre, the fight will mainly be between the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, led by Nawaz Sharif, and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.

On July 13, BAP leader Nawabzada Siraj Raisani was killed along with at least 149 others as a suicide bomber detonated at an election rally in Mastung.

Responding to the MML contesting Pakistan general elections, the USA state department recently said, "We have repeatedly expressed our concerns to the Pakistani government about LeT, including the participation of LeT-affiliated individuals in the elections".

Two policemen who were with Gandapur were among the injured.

A police spokesman claimed he had not informed police about his Sunday political meeting.

His brother Israrullah Gandapur was also martyred in a suicide attack in D.I. Khan in October 2013.

Later Sunday, the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing that killed Gandapur.

The PML-N alleges that its candidates and supporters have been urged to switch loyalties by people identifying themselves as intelligence or military officers across the country.

The six-year-old case was related to the supply of ephedrine to a drug smuggler.

Earlier on Saturday, an Islamabad High Court judge, Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, publicly accused the ISI of manipulating judicial decisions. This poll has created a do-or-die situation for the incumbent party, which is now being helmed by Nawaz Sharif's brother, Shehbaz.

Gandapur was in the run for a provincial assembly seat (PK-99) where election was postponed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after his death.

The attack on the political leader were condemned by the president, prime minister, army chief, chief election commissioner and political leadership, including PTI chairman, of the country.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is another player in the election.
