Warriors shoot well, Cavs stay close in Game 2

Klay Thompson expects to play in Game 2 of NBA Finals with sore ankle

"Them suspending somebody else don't make me feel good", said Green, whose Game 5 suspension in the 2016 Finals against Cleveland played such a big part in Golden State's collapse after they led the series 3-1.

There's even a couple of places showing odds for Wednesday's Game 3 in Cleveland already. After some solid performances in the Eastern Conference Finals, it seemed as though the Cavs had found their groove again.

While Love scored 21 points to go along with 13 rebounds, he converted just one of his eight three-point shot attempts.

There were miscues aplenty, most notably J.R. Smith's offensive rebound in the final seconds of regulation that he dribbled back toward half-court in a tie game rather than shooting for a chance to win it - later insisting he knew the score, though that remains a huge mystery.

Kevin Durant wants the Warriors to remove the luck factor going forward.

"I would say for him, that's a really good number".

LeBron James, with his eye still red after getting poked by Draymond Green in Game 1, has 15 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. At times, the Warriors trapped James, forcing the ball from his hands.

James became irate at the officials for a no-call on Curry, who ran beneath the Cavs star and didn't let him land with 3:54 remaining in the quarter as James caught Love's long pass and went out of bounds. He played the first 44 minutes of the game before being sent to the bench once the Warriors had an 18-point lead. In 18 minutes, he scored 12 points on a flawless 6-for-6 shooting (five dunks and a nifty hook shot from eight feet), without turning the ball over.

But that wasn't enough, either.

The Cavs have lost only one playoff game at home this season - the first-round opener to Indiana. They gave Smith an ovation during player introductions, then serenaded him at the foul line in the first quarter with chants of M-V-P.

The Warriors have held steady as a double-digit favorite for Sunday night's game against Cleveland.

No team in National Basketball Association history has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit to win any best-of-seven series.

Steph Curry also expressed his optimism when asked about Thompson's condition.

Pierce is starting to see things Rose's way.
