Continuing through the trailer we pick up a ally and infiltrate a building rescuing a prisoner from torture, eventually we end up fighting the ally and throughout that fight we get an wonderful display of combat and scenery.

If you missed it yesterday, a separate seven-minute gameplay trailer debuted at Sony's E3 2018 press conference.

Perhaps the most exciting non-comics Spidey property on the horizon though is the new Playstation 4 exclusive video game, simply titled Spider-Man.

In 2004, Activision and developer Treyarch released Spider-Man 2: The Game, which was the first time that a game adaptation of Spider-Man physically connected the hero's webs to the buildings around him. He's back in this gameplay demo/trailer/whatever from Sony's E3 showcase, and he's brought some friends. While the earlier demo seen during the conference was focused on welcoming Spider-Man's iconic villains into the fold, the gameplay demo gave a better impression of how the game will function moment to moment.

This one will definitely get ever hack-and-slash fan hyped, because we are finally going to get an open-world samurai game. But did our intrepid reporter spot the Avengers themselves in-game?

Marvel's Spider-Man will hit game shelves on September 7, 2018.

Spider-Man is incredible - at least based on what I played.

The reemergence of Ultimate Spider-Man would also paint a picture for the character's future.

Of course, there is a web zip ability as well, which will let Spider-Man pull himself forward and then launch into the air.

We spent a ton of time working with our friends at Marvel Games to ensure we got characters like Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Electro just right.
