macOS Mojave will be available as a public beta in late June, it will be available as a free software update for Macs introduced in mid-2012 or later, and 2010/2012 Mac Pro models with recommended Metal-capable graphics.
The other big new feature is Stacks which will help you tame a busy desktop by organizing files into neat groups.
Apple has finally included apps like News, Stocks, Voice Memos and Home to macOS Mojave. It has received a full redesign including the addition of few new applications which are mentioned later in the article. The macOS Mojave will feature some productivity bumps too, like Stacks to organise their desktop or sign a PDF document just by selecting a menu option from the sidebar.
If you're a Mac user, you might be interested to learn that at WWDC 2018, Apple has officially announced the next major update to the macOS platform in the form of macOS Mojave. The HomeKit peripherals will be able to be added and managed on the Mac.
Near the end of yesterday's WWDC keynote, Craig Federighi shared that Apple was at work on tools that would enable developers to more efficiently bring their iOS apps to the Mac. Users can toggle between a light and dark desktop, and built-in Mac apps like Mail, Messages, Maps, Calendar and Photos all include Dark Mode designs. Apple has also developed an API for developers so that even they can install this Dark mode in their apps.
The dark theme feature is complemented by the new "dynamic desktop", which will cause the wallpaper to change according to the time of day.
And users should be able to view this new background image much more easily with Mojave able to instantly clean up the desktop with something called Stacks. Users can customize their Stacks to sort based on other file attributes like date and tags if they like.
There were a lot of rumours about a Dark Mode which Apple confirmed instantly after announcing Mojave.
On macOS Mojave, when you take a screenshot, it will appear in the lower right corner and when you click it, you will get that markup option. There is now a new view called Gallery view, which puts a large preview of the files including photos, PDFs, presentations and slides.
Press the shutter button and your new photo will immediately be inserted into the app you have open on your Mac.
Apple has confirmed that the developer preview of macOS Mojave is now available to Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com.
Besides introducing News Stocks Voice Memos and Home apps in a Mac device for the first time with macOS Mojave, Apple also brought Group FaceTime feature to PCs and laptops. To that end, Safari users will see a new warning about websites that are tracking you when you may not be aware that they're tracking you.
The Mac App Store has been completely redesigned. On a positive note, it should be largely automated, but less positively, Apple's still saying no to touchscreen Macs.
