GETTYOwen Roddy has revealed that he's already devised a strategy for Mc Gregor to fight Nurmagomedov

News of the negotiations between Diaz and the UFC came less than 24 hours after his good friend Jake Shields claimed we'd see the TUF alumni back inside the Octagon.

Okamoto notes that UFC president Dana White would not provide any details on the reported discussions.

Former two-division champion Conor McGregor facing three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief charges after his role in a fracas that left two UFC fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg injured.

At the same time, what kind of message does it send if McGregor faces no punishment after injuring a pair of fighters just before their bouts at UFC 223.

"He's gotta be punished by the law first", White told TMZ.

It's understood that McGregor was attempting to exact retribution over an incident that took place earlier that week, when a verbal altercation ensued as Artem Lobov - McGregor's team-mate - was cornered by Nurmagomedov and members of his team.

In January, UFC star Nate Diaz tweeted he'd be back in May or June.

The comments on McGregor's photo were largely speculating as to who would win in a fight if McGregor went up against Khabib which has yet to be confirmed.

When asked about the anticipated McGregor vs Nurmagomedov fight, Dana White says if it does happen - it will go down in Vegas, not Russian Federation, as some have speculated. Per the report, the talks between the two sides have Diaz getting back into action on the UFC 227 card which is now scheduled for August 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles - the flawless venue for Diaz to reemerge in. White made it clear, however, that a fight of that magnitude could only take place in one city.

There's been a lot of talk about this Khabib fight and it seems to be brewing towards this one. "It's too big. You've got to do it in Vegas".
