Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly given the green light for Anthony Martial to leave the club this summer.

The Sunday Mirror claims that while a number of Manchester United's hierarchy are against Martial leaving, Jose Mourinho would be willing to sanction his departure if he were to be able to get one of his main transfer targets in return, Chelsea winger, Willian.

Since the arrival of Chile worldwide Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial has lost his place in Manchester United first team as Mourinho prefers the ex Arsenal attacker.

According to The Mirror, United boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to reunite with the Brazil global, whilst also being frustrated with Martial's purported lack of progress at Old Trafford.

There have been reports that Martial is exhausted of lack of active playing time this season under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United and facing the exit doors could be his next option.

Reports have claimed Ed Woodward is a huge admirer of the player and wants him to stay.

Anthony Martial led the line for Manchester United against Brighton in Friday night's Premier League game between the two sides, but didn't make too much of an impact.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford in January further threatened the 22-year-old's chance at a starting berth, with the forward also behind Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are determined to strengthen their ranks in the summer, and are keen on signing Martial.

As well as Juventus, Martial is also attracting interest from closer to home.
