Zimmer: Treadwell 'needs to get out of his own way'

Cleveland Browns: Case Keenum a valid option

Rick Spielman: Vikings haven't made any decisions at QB

I know he's doing on-field stuff now with [athletic trainer Eric Sugarman].

In his story, which is available here, he writes "NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport guessed that Cousins would land in Minnesota during a stopover on the Around The NFL Podcast, but Rapsheet said not to rule out the Cardinals as a dark-horse option".

"The one thing I told Rick was, I said look, we've had a good team, that's why we've won 40 games", Zimmer said Thursday at the NFL Combine.

Signing with the Vikings would enable Cousins to join a team with enough talent at other positions to be a clear Super Bowl contender. Is he the guy when he was at Houston or the Rams, or is he the guy who played for us?

At the National Football League combine on Thursday, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer spoke to reporters about what Treadwell needs to improve on in order to turn his career around. Keenum was a journeyman quarterback, playing for three teams in his first five seasons, before going 11-3 with the Vikings in 2017. The Redskins already have lined up Cousins's replacement by agreeing to trade cornerback Kendall Fuller and a third-round draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for quarterback Alex Smith, the NFL's top-rated passer this past season. He raved about Bradford's arm and his Week 1 performance against the Saints.

Zimmer said tight end Kyle Rudolph and Bradford went skiing last week. "I'm not saying they'll be back for sure, but I'm not going to say they are gone". The Vikings' head coach said during his podium session that Bridgewater has the "heart of a lion" and said that he hopes he can keep coaching Teddy.

Anderson has two years remaining on his contract, but his contract has no guaranteed money remaining and the Broncos could release him, if they choose to, without cost. "That's the big dilemma".

The running back has impressed the Vikings' staff by how quickly he's progressed since his rookie season ended prematurely last October. Whether he can return to his 2014-15 form remains in question.

"I knew it was inevitable to have it fixed", Rudolph said on KFAN. Sometimes scout-team quarterbacks and the scout-team corner are kind of the same way; there's no fear if they throw an interception or get beat on a pass. It's a long season; we've got to be smart about it, so we'll have to have a. not necessarily a pitch count, but be mindful that it's a 16-game, maybe 20-game season and we're going to have to be smart about how we use him. So it's really hard to evaluate just in practice.

There are a lot of factors at play here, but sort of questioning a guy like this to the public doesn't seem like the wisest move to me. "He's a great kid, great competitor, a victor".
