NFL Draft 2018: 5 Teams that could use Lamar Jackson

New York Jets Daily: Sifting through rumors/reports, NFL Combine

And former Louisville QB Lamar Jackson may not only be the flawless fit for that role, but he would also bring excitement for the Bolts to the city of Los Angeles.

"Whoever likes me at quarterback, that's where I'm going", Jackson told reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Friday.

The 36-year old Rivers was never the most ideal player to win adlibbing with his feet, but with his time almost coming to an end the Bolts certainly sound like they could be seeking out a QB that could extend and make plays on his own with his feet, and the former Cardinal absolutely fits that mold. "I don't know where that even comes from".

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider says he could understand why teams may suggest the potential switch of position due to Jackson's "dynamic" ability.

"No team has asked me to play wide receiver", the former UofL quarterback said.

Along with racist categorizations of what positions players are suited for, another thing the National Football League has moved past is the simplicity that would allow someone who has never been a wide receiver to segue smoothly into that role at the game's highest level.

"His accuracy isn't there", Polian said before urging Jackson to not be like "that kid from Ohio State and be 29 when you make that change".

That would be a gamble, however, as the QB-needy Jets would risk there being zero prominent quarterbacks around at that point, including Jackson. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2016 when he passed for 3,543 yards with 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions and followed that up with 3,660 passing yards with 27 TDs and 10 picks, combined with more than 1,500 rushing yards each of those two seasons.

While at Louisville, Jackson threw for 9,043 yards and 69 touchdowns over the course of three seasons.

Here's the real question: Why would Jackson lie about this? "I'm here now, I'm at the combine, I'm happy to be here, I just have to show off my ability". "But I know I can take it to a whole other level".

A move Jackson made perfectly clear - he's not making.

Lamar Jackson only just turned 21 years old and treats virtually everyone he meets with respect, reflexively and politely beginning or ending nearly every answer with a "yes sir" or "no sir".

Jackson had a successful career at Louisville. "He's going to be taking a bit cut of my paycheck that I feel I deserve it right now!" "I just have to show off my arm because that's where they're doubting me at".
