TuttoMercatoWeb's latest story regarding the future of Riyad Mahrez fits the bill, with the Italian website stating Leicester have very recently rejected a €70m bid from Manchester City for the Algeria global.
It looks like Mahrez is finally getting his move away from Leicester City.
Sky Sports claimed the approach is being considered by the Foxes, with the deal thought to include an as-yet undisclosed player moving in the other direction.
It could now be an awkward few days for the player though, having submitted a transfer request.
The Algeria worldwide has watched the Foxes sell N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater and he reportedly feels "frustrated" that they've been allowed to depart while he's been forced to stay.
Mahrez is unlikely to feature when Leicester travel to Goodison Park to play Everton on Wednesday night.
While the likes of N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater have moved on, however, Leicester have managed to retain Mahrez for the last two season, despite fielding bids from the likes of Roma and now the Premier League table-toppers. But that's now Alexis Sánchez and Riyad Mahrez that we've missed out on, and that's a shame. The fee was ultimately a sticking point.
"I'm told Leicester were after a combined package of around £95m - cash plus a player".
Despite interest from Serie A side Roma, Mahrez ended up staying at Leicester following the closure of the summer transfer window and the skilful attacker has impressed this season for Claude Puel's men.
